This course is held over two half-days and is open to SENCOs, learning mentors, and any support staff who run SEMH interventions. The content will include understanding anxiety and how it impacts on children’s learning and developing individual and small group programmes to support children who present with high levels of anxiety.
You will also be introduced to HeartMath which is an interactive, biofeedback, computer based programme that helps children visualise their ability to control their anxious feelings and manage intrusive thoughts, thereby reducing their heightened state of anxiety.
Dates: 3 November and 9 December 2020
Venue: Milton Park Primary, Weston-super-Mare
This course will be repeated in March 2021. A separate booking will be required
