Marie Berry is Headteacher at Bournville Primary. Prior to this role, Marie was a teacher in the school, teaching in both Year 6 and year 1. During her 7 years at Bournville Marie has held the positions of AFA champion, English leader, and Assistant Head Teacher. Marie has an excellent track record of coaching and mentoring and has achieved a post graduate certificate in this area. As a leader in school she has supported improving practice in local schools focusing on teaching and learning, exploring strategies to enhance effective pedagogy and developing better practice.
Marie has a vast experience of behaviour management and can offer a range of support to senior and middle managers as well as to classroom practitioners. Marie has shown to be consistently outstanding teacher and has contributed to the outstanding practice seen across Bournville. Marie recognises what outstanding practice looks like and how to achieve it in different settings and well as her own. Her expertise lie is the following areas;
