About Us

The BEACH Teaching School Alliance was founded by teachers, for teachers at Bournville Primary School in 2016 to offer support and deliver professional development opportunities to teachers and schools around the UK.

What Makes Us Different

We are not defined or restrained by geography. If you need us, we can come to you. We’ll also happily welcome you to come and see how we do things here.

We do not stick to a single corporate model; not one size fits all. We are flexible and responsive to your needs and will work with you to build a bespoke provision tailored to give your school and community what it needs.

Access to the highest quality of education for all children is at the forefront of what we do.

Holistic, interconnected approach

Success is achieved through “joining up” thinking, sharing ideas and insights across disciplines and activities. Our philosophy and values are visible in everything we do, ensuring that every setting receives what it needs to provide the best possible outcomes for children.

Collaborative and empowering

We believe strongly in inspiring students, engaging parents and encouraging staff to take ownership of their own challenges. We are there to facilitate, not to instruct.

Your way, not ‘our way’

We don’t have a prescribed model of doing things.  Our approach is to work with you to develop bespoke solutions, which leverage our skills and experience, but in a way that meet your specific needs.

The BEACH TSA believes in:

  • working together;
  • sharing knowledge and best practice;
  • creativity;
  • innovation;
  • a school-led system;
  • leadership;
  • effective and affordable opportunities for all staff, be they teaching or support regardless of where they may be.

Where we come from

The BEACH Teaching School Alliance is led by Bournville Primary School, one of the few schools in the UK in an area of coastal deprivation rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, and a finalist in the National Pupil Premium Awards 2015.

We are part of the Extend Learning Academies Network in South West England.
